What’s the meaning of this? Getting a New Perspective on Your Child’s Behavior

Ever wonder why your child is saying or doing what he is?
Does it seem like nothing you try stops the behavior you hate?
Do you react in ways you hate and wish you could just stay calm?

Your child is trying to tell you something but doesn’t know how except through her behavior. When children think you just don’t get it, their behavior gets louder and more dramatic in an attempt to make you understand. In reaction, you fear a budding tyrant. This workshop will explain the meaning of behavior simply and clearly, yet eye-opening. You will learn how to translate “Childology” and the steps of Connective Communication in order to shift your perspective on your child’s actions and words so that you can connect instead of react—so that you understand your child is having a problem, not being a problem.

Cost: $40 per individual/$70 per couple

Helping Your Worried Child

Do you have a perfectionist; an intensely emotional worrier; an anxious or avoidant child? For a growing number of children, normal frets, concerns, and developmental separation anxiety are leading to adamant refusals, quitting before something starts, anxiety over school, over-nights, being out of your sight, immobilization. You in turn worry about their worries and want desperately to take their struggles away. This class will take you through the levels of concern and help you respond in the way your child will be comforted most—it’s likely the opposite of what you think. Learn strategies for helping your child problem solve their own struggles so they can move out into the world feeling strong and confident.
